Strategic Leadership

Amid rapid global industrialization, green development has become an essential path to corporate sustainability. Gellec upholds the philosophy of “Green and Low-Carbon Thinking Comes First”, fully implementing a resource-saving strategy and discarding traditional growth models based on scale and efficiency. The green development plan follows a three-stage approach:

1. Drive Technological Innovation to Empower Green Production

Focusing on eco-friendly manufacturing processes, the company upgrades technologies and equipment to significantly reduce carbon and pollutant emissions per unit of output, establishing a competitive edge through green innovation.

2. Optimize Energy Mix to Strengthen the Low-Carbon Foundation

Gellec accelerates its energy transition by expanding the use of green electricity and exploring cost-effective energy alternatives, achieving diversification and sustainability in energy usage.

3. Deepen Raw Material Substitution to Open a New Chapter in Green Development

By researching and promoting the application of new, low-carbon materials, Gellec enables a greener product origin and upgrades the entire industrial chain toward sustainability.

Toward a Zero-Carbon Future

To align with carbon neutrality goals, Gellec has released a clear carbon reduction timetable:

· Achieve carbon neutrality in core operations by 2040

· Reach full value chain carbon neutrality by 2050

Carbon Neutral Roadmap

Gellec is transforming its development model with a phased decarbonization strategy:

· 2021–2030: Initial emission reduction

· 2030–2040: Deep decarbonization

· 2040–2050: Near-zero emissions

Green Operations

Since 2022, Gellec has integrated its green development strategy into corporate management, strengthening practices in green and low-carbon operations.

ESG Strategy Empowering Sustainability

Gellec has established ESG governance structures and low-carbon task forces at all levels, with clearly defined responsibilities and action plans. By leveraging its industrial advantages, the company works with upstream and downstream partners to reduce emissions across the value chain, ensuring a more vibrant and robust green development foundation.

The company has introduced a low-carbon action plan focused on:

· Product design

· Technological upgrades for energy saving and emission reduction

· Operational optimization

· Quality improvement

This supports the creation of low-carbon industrial parks.

A comprehensive carbon accounting system is in place:

· 100% of subsidiaries have completed ISO 14064 GHG emissions verification

· 100% of core products have undergone ISO 14067 carbon footprint verification

Gellec also enhances supplier carbon management by:

· Conducting supplier training

· Setting reduction targets

· Tracking progress quarterly to drive efficient decarbonization across the supply chain

Carbon Reduction from the Source: Deep Transformation

As a clean energy company, Gellec addresses emissions throughout its production processes by forming low-carbon and energy-saving teams at each plant to drive green transformation from the source.

By using digital tools for real-time energy monitoring and management, Gellec improves energy efficiency. Facilities in Handan, Ma’anshan (Anhui), Hubei Jiangsheng, and Tianjin Donggao are all ISO 50001 Energy Management System certified, with over two years of continuous implementation and 100% coverage.

The company also actively upgrades technologies and equipment, introducing:

· Heat pumps

· High-efficiency heat exchangers

· Energy-saving fans
These innovations—guided by energy consumption mapping—keep Gellec’s core technologies at the industry forefront.

In addition, Gellec is steadily advancing renewable energy infrastructure:

· In 2024, green power accounted for 25% of total electricity use

· By 2026, the green power share is expected to rise to 50%

Greening the Future

Under the national dual carbon goals (peak emissions and carbon neutrality), green manufacturing has evolved from a moral responsibility to a competitive advantage. Gellec’s carbon-neutral path is not just a technological breakthrough—it is a restructuring of the entire industrial ecosystem.

Going forward, the company will continue leveraging the synergy of technology, energy, and management by:

· Reducing unit energy consumption via process innovation

· Cutting total emissions with green electricity

· Expanding emission boundaries through supply chain collaboration

This approach enables effective carbon reduction while driving economic benefits and industry leadership through low-carbon industrial parks. Gellec aims to create a model for green transformation in manufacturing and realize full-chain carbon footprint visualization and tracking.
